An elderly man looks out towards rebel controlled territory after chopping and stacking wood donated by UNHCR in the village of Syze near the frontline with Luhansk People's Republic and the Russian border. He used to collect wood from the forests surrounding the village, but now it is forbidden and too dangerous to leave the village because of landmines, UXO, booby traps and military positions.
